Water grid for Palnadu mooted
Narasaraopeta MP of the Telugu Desam Rayapati Sambasiva Rao started various developmental works in his adopted village of Dharmavaram in Durgi mandal of Guntur district on Sunday.Speaking on the occasion, he said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, despite poor financial condition of the state, is arduously working to develop the state in all possible manner. He said that Mr.Naidu has asked him to develop Palnadu region which was lagging behind for decades.
So, he started various development works with the cooperation of the corporate sector, MPLADS funds and government schemes.
Mr Sambasiva Rao said that a water grid project was submitted to the government to quench the thirst of Macharla, Gurzala and Winukonda Assembly constituencies and he was trying to get funds from the state and Union governments to start Palnadu water grid project.
The MP started a mega medical camp, inaugurated 11 kv. electrical sub-station and planted saplings in the village under vanam-Manam programme in Dharmavaram village on the occasion.
